In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring that all food items meet our high standards for quality, safety, and presentation. Your energetic approach and culinary skills will help create a seamless kitchen operation that delights our guests and supports our kitchen staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food industry experience while contributing to a vibrant dining environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, peeling, and measuring to ensure smooth flow of kitchen operations Assist in cooking and food preparation tasks according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety protocols Support the kitchen team in meal assembly, plating, and portioning to ensure consistency and presentation quality Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming dishes or special events Support catering efforts by preparing large quantities of food in accordance with event specifications Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Kitchen experience in restaurants or food service environments is preferred Familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices is essential Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly is beneficial Skills in knife handling, portioning, and basic culinary techniques are important Knowledge of menu planning and food service operations will enhance your effectiveness in this role Prior experience in catering or serving in a fast-paced food industry setting is a plus

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
