Job Description
Overview We are looking for a dependable, motivated cook to join our team at Side Street Beer Bar. We are a new bar that offers a variety of specialty beers and specialize in smash burgers. We keep our menu small and use quality ingredients. Our pay starts at $16-$18/hour plus 10% tips. Payroll is direct deposited every Friday. The ideal candidate has solid food-preperation skills and works well under pressure. You will be responsible for preparing food items according to recipes, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment and supporting smooth kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and present meals following established recipes and food safety guidelines. Handle food with care, maintaining cleanliness and proper storage practices to prevent contamination Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly Follow all food handling procedures and safety protocols to uphold health standards at all times Experience Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Familiarity with kitchen operations, food industry standards, and serving procedures Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
