Overview Holiday Grill Coney Island in Dearborn is hiring a Line Cook / Grill Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for a dependable, experienced cook who can work in a fast-paced Coney Island-style restaurant. The right candidate takes pride in consistent food, clean work habits, speed, teamwork, and getting orders out correctly during busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner rushes. This is a hands-on kitchen position for someone who is comfortable cooking on the line, working the grill and fryer, helping with prep, reading tickets, communicating with the team, and keeping the kitchen organized. Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Cook eggs, breakfast meats, burgers, sandwiches, fries, coney items, and other family restaurant menu items
• Work the grill, fryer, and kitchen line safely and efficiently
• Read tickets and keep orders moving during busy service periods
• Follow recipes, portion standards, plating standards, and food safety procedures
• Complete prep work before and during service
• Keep workstations clean, organized, stocked, and ready for rush periods
• Restock the line and assist with opening or closing duties
• Communicate clearly with servers, managers, and other kitchen staff
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and storage standards
• Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly Experience
• Previous restaurant cook, line cook, grill cook, prep cook, breakfast cook, or diner cook experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or high-volume kitchen is strongly preferred
• Ability to cook quickly while staying organized and accurate
• Comfortable working with breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, fryer items, and diner-style food
• Able to follow tickets, recipes, instructions, and portion standards
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food quality
• Able to stand for long periods and work in a hot, busy kitchen
• Works well with a team and communicates clearly
• Weekend availability is preferred Schedule Full-time and part-time shifts are available including Tuesday to Friday afternoon/evening, shifts, and late morning to evening weekend shifts.
