Job Summary:

Tawas Bay Beach Resort is seeking a reliable and motivated Part Time Cook to join our culinary team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys preparing delicious food in a fun, fast-paced, beachside environment. As a cook, you'll assist in preparing meals to order, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and delivering high-quality service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and resort standards Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and presented properly Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures (ServSafe standards) Assist with receiving and storing inventory Keep kitchen areas clean and organized during and after shifts Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and kitchen team Contribute to a positive team environment and guest experience

Qualifications:

Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team Strong time management and multitasking skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
