Job Description

The Dam Shop at the Elk Rapids Marina is growing and we are looking for individuals who are excellent team players, bring energy to the team, and have a passion for food! As a Line Cook/Pizza Cook, you will work closely with the General Manager & year-round team members to ensure seamless operations and an excellent customer experience for our guests. This position is Seasonal (Full & Part Time Available). The candidate must be able to start Mid-May 2026 and be able to work through September/October.
Students still enrolled in school:
We can work with your schedule to best accommodate a start date. Students not graduating in 2026 will need a valid work permit prior to start. This position is hourly wage + tips. (Average Tips During Summer = $10
  • 25/hour!
) Candidates with experience are preferred, however, candidates with a great attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to learn are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers Assisting with stocking and setting up the stations Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations Taking out trash, sweeping, moping and all other standard cleaning procedures Date and Label food made and organize in First In First Out Completing a daily list of tasks Preparation of dressings, sauces, and other condiments May be asked to work inside the retail store, ringing up guests and taking orders May be asked to prepare specialty coffee using commercial coffee equipment Interact and engage with Guests providing them with a memorable experience Work closely with the Kitchen Manager on operations, inventory management Maintain a positive and engaging environment Skills and Qualifications Will Train the right Candidate Positive attitude Customer service experience 1+ years Kitchen experience 1+ years Exceptional time management The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 50 pounds at a time & physical stamina Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, preforming multiple tasks simultaneously High personal hygiene standards Self-Motivated Ability to read and understand Standardized Recipes Barista experience a plus, not required Baking experience a plus, not required Serve safe Certified a plus, not required
