From $17.00 per hour Long Road Distillers in Grand Rapids, is looking to add a Line Cook to our talented, energetic, and creative kitchen team. We work hard, enjoy what we do, and take pride in our spirits, food, and level of service. We are looking for a self-starter who will quickly amass an in-depth familiarity with the kitchen's operations so that they may assist the Executive Chef and Prep Cook in preparing appetizers and entrees, maintaining a clean working environment, and ensuring the highest quality experience for our customers and guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
Be precise and detail oriented Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with prep cooks, wait staff and Chef Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot environment Flexibility with job duties and shifts, willing to arrive 10 minutes prior to assigned shift Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety best practices Knowledge of cooking procedures Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills Prior experience in related food service positions preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to): Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders Prepare food in collaboration with Executive Chef so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is achieved and preserved Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean equipment used in food preparation Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques Wash dishes and pots and operate dish washing equipment Empty trash containers as required Maintain a friendly work environment through constant, positive communication
