Job Description

Riverwood Resort is looking for an experienced Line Cook to be a part of our Culinary Team! Your overall responsibility for this position is creating a positive environment with quality food and service, communicating with servers, and efficiently meeting the needs of your customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Cook and assemble dishes according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and recipes.
Station Management:
Set up, organize, and maintain clean cooking stations and equipment.
Quality & Presentation:
Ensure food meets high standards for taste, temperature, and visual appeal (garnish, plating).
Food Safety:
Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Teamwork:
Collaborate with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff for seamless event execution.
Inventory:
Monitor stock, label ingredients, and assist with orders.
Adaptability:
Handle last-minute changes and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Essential Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in high-volume or banquet cooking. Strong cooking techniques and knowledge of various methods. Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety Prep cook experience Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a must. Work Environment A busy, fast-paced kitchen focused on large-scale production. Involves standing for long periods and lifting. Requires high energy and ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks Our employees have Golf Privileges at both The Pines at Lake Isabella and Riverwood Resort.
