Line/Banquet Cook

Riverwood Resort is looking for an experienced Line Cook to be a part of our Culinary Team! Your overall responsibility for this position is creating a positive environment with quality food and service, communicating with servers, and efficiently meeting the needs of your customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation:

Cook and assemble dishes according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and recipes.

Station Management:

Set up, organize, and maintain clean cooking stations and equipment.

Quality & Presentation:

Ensure food meets high standards for taste, temperature, and visual appeal (garnish, plating).

Food Safety:

Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Teamwork:

Collaborate with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff for seamless event execution.

Inventory:

Monitor stock, label ingredients, and assist with orders.

Adaptability:

Handle last-minute changes and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Essential Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in high-volume or banquet cooking. Strong cooking techniques and knowledge of various methods. Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team. Knowledge of food safety Prep cook experience Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a must. Work Environment A busy, fast-paced kitchen focused on large-scale production. Involves standing for long periods and lifting.
