Duties Prepare and cook menu items with skill, consistency, and attention to detail, following established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dish ideas and seasonal specials Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently Maintain food safety and sanitation standards throughout all kitchen activities Use proper knife skills to prepare ingredients quickly and safely for cooking or plating Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service during busy hours Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies for smooth operations Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred Culinary experience demonstrating proficiency in cooking techniques and food preparation Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Knowledge of menu planning, food industry standards, and kitchen operations required Strong knife skills and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Experience in food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation protocols Background in catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
