Rooftop Terrace, located on the fifth floor (rooftop level) of Alexandra Inn, offers a breathtaking dining experience (indoor and outdoor dining options) with panoramic views of East Grand Traverse Bay.
Position Overview:
We are seeking line cooks with a basic knowledge of food preparation that are willing to learn new things. Dishwashers with an eye to advance may be our best candidates as well as quick serve cooks and fast food people.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet the highest standards Assist in the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, stocking of stations, and keeping inventory Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service and timely execution of orders Flexibility to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred Culinary degree/certification or equivalent work experience preferred Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
