In this role, you'll be the friendly face that ensures smooth transactions and delivers delicious food with efficiency and care. Whether handling cash, taking orders, or preparing meals, you'll play a vital part in providing an exceptional food service experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while mastering POS systems and delivering top-notch customer service in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, basic math, and retail math skills. Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food prep area, dining space, and cashier station in compliance with food safety regulations. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales through effective suggestive selling techniques. Manage food handling duties such as bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and assisting in food prep when needed. Support the team by ensuring quick service during busy hours, managing time effectively to serve customers promptly. Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies to keep the café or restaurant running smoothly. Experience Previous experience in food service or a quick service & fast food restaurant environment is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated learners eager to grow their culinary skills. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS will be advantageous. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations are essential. Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail environments involving food industry standards will help you excel in this role. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly valued. Prior restaurant experience or working in a café setting will provide a strong foundation for success here.
