Job Description

Endeavor Hotel Group, LLC is currently seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Line Cook for The Lodge at Brainerd Lakes located in Baxter, Minnesota! As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and presentation of food served at our hotel. This dynamic position offers a great opportunity for those passionate about food preparation and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Duties:
Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and sauces according to standardized recipes and portion sizes. Follow proper cooking techniques while ensuring quality, taste, and presentation. Cook and assemble dishes in line with established recipes and guidelines. Ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures, well-seasoned, and plated attractively according to hotel standards. Maintain familiarity with the hotel's menu, ingredients, cooking methods, and presentation techniques. Consistently deliver dishes that meet quality and consistency standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen area. Follow food storage, rotation, and labeling procedures to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance. Coordinate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate with chefs, sous chefs, and fellow line cooks. Assist in training or supervising junior staff as needed. Prioritize tasks and adhere to production timelines. Monitor cooking times and food quality to meet guest expectations while minimizing waste. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling, sanitation, and equipment usage. Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Perform regular quality checks on ingredients, prepared dishes, and plating. Notify the head chef or kitchen manager of any issues or concerns. Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to providing exceptional guest experiences. Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned by leadership. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications: Previous experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary terms, and cooking methods. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays. Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not always required.
