$21.41•$30.09 Job Description The mission of the Campus Store food service operation is to provide a convenient, affordable, and efficient source for food and beverages on campus for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Anoka-Ramsey Community College. The Food Service Cook will provide all services necessary in food preparation including cooking, grilling, frying, baking, serving, and clean-up while ensuring proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed. This position will also assist with catering orders and creating the daily menu. The ARCC Riverside Café exists to provide auxiliary services to students, staff, and organizations within the community. All employees of Anoka-Ramsey Community College are responsible for promoting a culture that supports diversity and inclusion. Salary Range:
$21.41•$29.22/hour Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of large-scale cooking methods, tools and equipment sufficient to prepare and serve food for a large number of people and adjust recipes to accommodate different numbers of people. Knowledge of food values and nutrition sufficient to prepare items from standard recipes and to prepare special medical diets. Knowledge of health, sanitation and safety principles involved in food preparation operations sufficient to prepare and serve safe and healthy meals. Ability to follow oral instructions and read and comprehend written instructions. Preferred Qualification One (1) year of experience as a cook Knowledge and clear understanding of customer service standards to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals in a diverse and multicultural and multiracial community. Ability to provide maintenance on food service equipment. Ability to work with point-of-sale system and handling money Catering Experience ServSafe Food Manager Certification. Knowledge of health, sanitation, and safety practices involved in food preparation Physical Requirement Requires daily moving and/or transporting things (such as boxes, food, dishes, equipment, etc.) weighing up to 50 pounds. Physical dexterity of hands and fingers is essential. Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, and twist as part of daily job duties.
