Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook for South Asian restaurant, where your passion for food and dedication to quality will shine! In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, executing menu items with precision, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Your energy and culinary skills will help deliver memorable dining experiences to our guests. Whether you're chopping, cooking, or plating, your enthusiasm and attention to detail will drive our kitchen's success every day. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to established recipes and standards for our South Asian cuisine. Cook menu items with consistency, speed, and accuracy to ensure guest satisfaction Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times. make sure to leave the area clean n tidy after your work shift. Assist in meal preparation for various service periods, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines Support kitchen operations during catering events or special functions as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen flow and timely service delivery Experience Previous experience in a food service environment, such as restaurant or catering settings is a plus but not necessary. We can train you. Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential or can be taught. Knowledge of menu planning and food industry standards enhances your ability to excel in this role Demonstrated understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Experience with cooking methods, meal preparation, and food service operations is desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
