Cook/Prep Cook/Dining Assistant for

Assisted Living Communities Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items
• following a menu
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining experience for customers
• Assist with menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and customer preferences
• Support catering events by preparing food items according to specific event requirements

Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the food service or catering industry is preferred
• Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff members
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow in the food industry
• Certified Food Safety a bonus
