Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your culinary skills and attention to food safety will help create delicious, high-quality meals that delight our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to support chefs and cooks Assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations Support the kitchen team during meal preparation and service, including plating and portioning Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting fellow staff members Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food service operations Hands-on experience in food handling, kitchen environments, or the food industry is preferred Strong knife skills and knowledge of meal preparation methods are advantageous Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and catering procedures Restaurant or culinary experience demonstrating ability to work efficiently under pressure is a plus Passion for culinary arts with a desire to grow skills in food preparation and kitchen operations
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
