SEASONAL SUMMER CAMP COOK

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS

The Seasonal Summer Camp Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals for camp programs and events while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. This role is essential in creating a positive and hospitable experience for campers, guests, and staff. Commitment to Christian values and working in a faith-based environment Minimum 2 years of cooking experience, including preparing meals for small and large groups Knowledge of safe practices when preparing for various dietary allergies Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and remain flexible Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices ( SafeServ certification preferred ) Familiarity with ACA (American Camping Association) standards preferred. Duties and Responsibilities Provide quality food service for summer camping programs Proven cooking background with at least 2 years of experience for both small and large groups is required Maintain kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations, as well as ACA standards Food service for all camp meals, both on-site and off-site Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitation of kitchen equipment Ensure kitchen readiness prior to camper arrivals Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for all guests and campers Assist with supervision of kitchen assistants and summer staff as assigned Represent Good Earth Village positively to campers, guests, and the community Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs for 10+ feet Ability to work extended periods in warm environments; safe handling of equipment and chemicals Responsible to: The Dining Coordinator of Good Earth Village Criminal background checks to be performed before candidate can officially begin
