Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Cook to join our team at our long-term care/skilled nursing facility. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals according to residents' dietary needs, ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and overall satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals based on planned menus and dietary guidelines Follow recipes and portion controls Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and work area Ensure proper food storage and labeling Follow all food safety and infection control standards Work collaboratively with dietary staff and nursing team Accommodate special diets as needed (e.g., pureed, diabetic, low-sodium)
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting Knowledge of food safety regulations Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong time management and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods Lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed Work in a fast-paced environment
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
