The Job Danny's Burger Shack is hiring a line cook. We make smash burgers from high-quality local beef, chicken sandwiches, and fries/tater tots/onion rings. Line cooks will do kitchen prep work, grill burgers, work the fryers, and assemble sandwiches and orders for customers. Our menu is simple and good. The job makes sense and pays well. You must have a ServSafe certification or be able to get one before you start working. Your card will be required along with your hiring paperwork. You will also likely cross train to run the cash register. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with food prep tasks such as making sauces and onion rings, putting away food orders from suppliers. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks. Handle food safely by following proper storage, date labeling, handling, and disposal procedures to prevent contamination. Ensure all food handling practices meet industry standards for safety, quality, and hygiene. Qualifications Previous experience in a line cook or prep cook role is highly desirable. ServSafe Certification required before first work day. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with food industry standards related to serving, food service operations, and kitchen safety protocols. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with a small team of 2-3 cooks and a Kitchen Manager.
