Full Job Description Job Summary:
Basso is seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu, specializing in Italian cuisine. You will work closely with the chef and other kitchen staff to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook dishes from our menu, following recipes and plating standards. Work multiple stations in the kitchen, including grill, pizza, garmo, sauté, and prep, as needed. Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, making sauces, and preparing ingredients. Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets our high standards for quality, taste, and presentation. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work station. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy hours. Assist in daily cleaning duties, including equipment, kitchen surfaces, and storage areas. Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimize food waste.
Qualifications:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Basic understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols. Attention to detail and passion for delivering high-quality food. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Culinary school training is a plus but not required.
