Job Description

Overview Canebrake Country Club is seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation. You will be primarily stationed at the Pool or Racquet Pavilion. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service Handle food products safely, following proper food handling procedures Utilize knife skills for precise meal preparation and presentation Participate in banquet events as needed, providing exceptional service to guests Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality Qualifications Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Line Cook in a restaurant Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Experience with menu planning and dietary department operations is a plus Excellent cooking skills, with the ability to prepare diverse cuisines Familiarity with food service operations and kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff Culinary experience and ServSafe Certification required Join our team and contribute your culinary expertise to create memorable dining experiences!
