Job Description

The Jackson Yacht Club is in search for a talented individual in the role of Line Cook. The hours in which you are applying are... Wednesday through Friday 5 pm to 10 pm Saturday 4pm to 10 pm Sunday 2pm to 9 pm
  • must be able to work every Sunday Other hours may be available under certain circumstances and will be posted, in most cases, the week before.
The club is closed on Monday's unless it is a holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day) If the club is open on a Monday it will be closed the following Tuesday. The ideal candidates must have experience related to the job they are applying for. They must be "people persons" and have a strong self motivated work ethic.   • Performing food preparation duties Following orders from seniors Keeping the work stations clean and well stocked Keeping the kitchen area & equipment clean and sanitized Performing duties efficiently to make a dish in time Using ingredients in right proportion and follow the right food preparations Line Cook skills and specifications
  • Be able to understand kitchen orders Be able to work efficiently Have good sense of taste and smell Have knowledge about kitchen hygiene & safety procedures Be ready to perform all functions in kitchen Be able to make excellent quality food Have knowledge about different cooking recipes and all kitchen equipment Be able to work under pressure Be a team player Be ready to stand for long hours Be able to lift up to 40 lbs MUST be able to work holidays (We are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the day before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving Day)
