Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our culinary team as a cook. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in menu planning, ensuring variety and nutritional balance. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen. Handle food items with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests. Serve meals in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets fine dining standards. Participate in catering events as needed, showcasing culinary skills in diverse settings. Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and functional. Support the team by training new staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in the dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Strong background in menu planning and meal preparation within a culinary environment. Fine dining experience is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of high-quality service standards. Proficiency in cooking techniques, including knife skills and food handling practices. Experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual responsibilities.
