Job Description

Join our team! We are looking for a caring, compassionate individual who enjoy working with the elderly. We are looking for a cook for Meadowlark Assisted Living three-four days a week.

Job Duties:
Preparing home style meals Serving meals Cleaning Food inventory Help prepare weekly food grocery lists
Skills Needed:
Ability to cook menu items from scratch using a minimal amount of processed foods Willingness to learn Know portion control Understand sanitary guidelines required for a facility kitchen Be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally and be standing for 2-3 hours at a time Good people/communication skills Strong commitment to customer service, our residents are our customers Able to multitask Team player
Educational Requirements:
Previous cooking experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. High School diploma (or equivalent) preferred, but not necessary. Some experience working with senior citizens preferred, but not necessary.
