We are looking for fast paced and hard-working individuals to work on our line and create amazing food. We always promote from within the business, there is major growth opportunity with us at the Tavern! We are open 365 days a year until 2am. We are looking for mid shift/closing cooks. Closers need to be able to stay until 2am. Holidays are volunteer based and we offer additional compensation.
Responsibilities include:
  • Stocking and cleaning station before, during, and after shift.
  • Preparing food items necessary for service.
  • Ensuring all food is of high quality.
  • Working in a timely fashion to ensure short wait times for guests.
  • Meeting nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
Physical Requirements Include:
  • Ability to handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation.
  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs.
  • Ability to withstand continuous bending, reaching, lifting, and standing.
Qualifications Include:
  • A strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
We look forward to meeting you and adding you to our team! Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards. Handle food safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations while working in the kitchen environment. Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests. Qualifications Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Line Cook or similar position within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
