Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Center Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children in a safe, hygienic, and very busy environment. This role is essential in promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring that all dietary needs are met. If you have a background in food service or the food industry, we invite you to apply your skills in a rewarding setting. Responsibilities Prepare and cook balanced meals according to established menus, ensuring nutritional guidelines are met. Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences of children. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Manage inventory of food supplies, ensuring freshness and proper storage. Implement proper food handling techniques, including the use of knives and kitchen equipment. Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring meals are appealing to children. Skills Experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, with an emphasis on child-friendly meal preparation. Strong culinary skills with an ability to plan menus that cater to various dietary needs. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in food preparation and kitchen maintenance. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, children, and parents.
