Responsibilities Lead and supervise the evening kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation. Prepare, cook, and plate menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Oversee food handling procedures, maintaining strict adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist with menu planning, ingredient ordering, and inventory management to ensure availability of fresh ingredients. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement. Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving and address any issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and proper storage of ingredients. Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining or upscale food service environments. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures. Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations. Demonstrated leadership abilities in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent food industry knowledge including restaurant experience and kitchen operations. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with dietary department protocols and dietary aide practices is a plus.
