Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation methods to enhance dish offerings. Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Handle food with care, demonstrating excellent knife skills and proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and freshness. Support the dietary department by understanding special dietary needs and preparing appropriate meal options. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times, ensuring timely delivery of orders. Participate in catering events and special functions, providing exceptional food service that meets guest expectations. Experience Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining environments. Experience working within dietary or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of special dietary requirements. Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly are essential for success in this role. Strong understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures is required to maintain high standards of hygiene. Familiarity with menu planning, catering services, and serving in a fast-paced environment will help you excel as part of our team. Excellent knife skills combined with experience in food industry operations will enable you to perform efficiently under pressure.
