OVERVIEW
Small but busy, family-owned Greek/Italian restaurant looking for dependable, hard-working line cooks who can work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced kitchen. We're not a corporate kitchen — we're a tight team that works hard, moves fast, and takes pride in what we put out. We value integrity, efficiency, safety, and delivering a consistent guest experience that keeps people coming back. This role is responsible for preparing menu items with consistency and attention to detail, keeping a clean and organized station, and working as part of a team to execute tickets quickly and correctly. We stay busy, we run a tight kitchen, and take pride in doing things the right way. If you struggle with urgency, consistency, or working as part of a team, this won't be the right fit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cooking & Execution:
Follow recipes and plating standards to ensure consistency and quality Maintain strong attention to detail on every dish Ensure all food meets quality standards before leaving the line
Timing & Efficiency:
Work with the team to get orders out quickly and correctly Prioritize tickets and handle remakes efficiently Maintain speed without sacrificing quality
Cleaning & Organization:
Keep your station clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift Complete all closing and cleaning duties Follow proper food storage, labeling, and FIFO rotation
Teamwork & Communication:
Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and management Support teammates when needed — no "that's not my job" mindset Be adaptable during busy shifts
Professionalism & Reliability:
Show up on time and ready to work Follow all food safety and restaurant procedures Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic SKILLS Communication Time management under pressure Organization & attention to detail Ability to multitask Basic kitchen knowledge (or willingness to learn) No experience? Bring a strong work ethic and we'll teach you.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate in English Reliable transportation Access to scheduling app (SLING) 16+ years old Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
