Job Summary:

Henderson Nursing and Senior Living Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team in Henderson, North Carolina. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals for residents, taking into account dietary needs and special diets Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of proper food storage and preparation techniques Ensure a safe and sanitary working environment, adhering to state Dietary regulations Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including food preparation areas and stations Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and team members

Qualifications:

Maintain a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years old High School diploma or GED accepted Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
