Hotel Breakfast Cook - Part Time Hilton Garden Inn Winston-Salem/Hanes Mall - 3.5 Winston-Salem, NC Job Details Part-time $15 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Grilling Recipe adherence Pre-cooking preparation Cutting Ability to follow instructions Kitchen stations Full Job Description We are looking for a skilled cook to prepare delicious meals and serve guests in accordance with the level of service expected from a Hilton Hotel. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is important. We have breakfast and dinner cook shifts available to fill. The Great American Grill is located in the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and offers premium food and beverage options for hotel guests and the public. The goal is to provide an elevated F&B experience for hotel guests, and be a positive influence on those who come through our facility. Responsibilities Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Perform all closing duties, including dishwashing and stocking. Maintain standards and procedures for Health and Safety as outlined by management. (Proper Dating/ Cleanliness/ Condition/ Certifications.) Skills Proven experience as cook Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Experience in MTO & Buffet breakfast is a plus. Ability to work in a team Very good communication skills Ability to take on all aspects of running a kitchen. (Prep, Service, Closing, Ect.)
