At the heart of everything we do is our mission: Great People, Great Food, Great Coffee. About the Role Pressed Cafe is seeking Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. Our line cooks are the backbone of our kitchen operations—hardworking team players who take pride in preparing high-quality, made-to-order food quickly and accurately. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing menu items according to Pressed Cafe standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent meals to our guests. What You'll Do Prepare menu items quickly and accurately according to Pressed Cafe recipes, builds, and procedures. Ensure orders are completed efficiently, typically within a 2-5 minute service window. Maintain strong communication with teammates, expo, and management throughout each shift. Learn and work across multiple kitchen stations, including eggs, breakfast, panini, salads, bowls, sauté, and expo. Accurately prepare food items while carefully following allergen guidelines and guest modifications. Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation. Restock ingredients and supplies throughout shifts to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Open and close stations according to established procedures. Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling standards. Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks, which may include kitchen areas and restrooms. Support other kitchen functions as needed, including assisting with prep or dish responsibilities. Adapt quickly to changing priorities and assist teammates to maintain smooth kitchen operations. What You Bring Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management. Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently. Ability to maintain high energy and efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness. Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized during busy shifts. A team-first mindset with the ability to take initiative when needed. Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
