Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm and culinary skills will help create delicious, high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble components for menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen managers Handle food safely during storage, handling, and preparation to prevent contamination Assist with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Support catering and special event setups by preparing bulk ingredients and ensuring quality control Experience Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment demonstrates strong food handling skills Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is essential Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and meal preparation methods enhances efficiency Understanding of food safety regulations and proper hygiene practices is required Previous experience in catering or serving can be an asset for supporting diverse dining needs Culinary experience within the food industry or kitchen setting provides a solid foundation for success Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering excellent food service!
