Food & Beverage Manager Position Summary Alstede Farms is seeking an energetic, dependable, and team-oriented Line Cook to support our on-farm food truck operations. This position plays a key role in preparing and serving high-quality food to guests during our busy agritourism season. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in food quality and presentation, and is committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Primary ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation & Service Prepare menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards. Cook and assemble food orders in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet Alstede Farms standards. Maintain appropriate food temperatures and storage procedures. Assist with prep work before service and closing duties after service. Food Truck Operations Support daily operations of the farm's food trucks and outdoor food service areas. Work collaboratively with cashiers, runners, and other kitchen staff. Restock ingredients, supplies, and serving items throughout the day. Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to management. Assist with setup and breakdown of food truck operations. Guest Service Contribute to a positive guest experience through efficient service and teamwork. Maintain a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude toward guests and coworkers. Assist in addressing guest questions regarding menu items and ingredients. Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all local health department regulations and food safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Properly clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Previous cooking or food service experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Must be able to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude during busy periods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Ability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Flexible schedule based on seasonal business needs. Availability during festivals, special events, and peak farm visitation periods is required.
