Overnight Line Cook Elizabeth, NJ 07201 $16

Part-time Responsibilities :
Prepare and cook menu items, including meats, vegetables, and grains. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality dishes. Follow recipes and menu guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef. Participate in menu planning and development, providing feedback and suggestions. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude, working effectively with colleagues and management. Summary In the role of a Cook, you will be integral to our culinary team, responsible for food preparation and cooking delicious meals that meet our high standards. We're looking for a skilled and efficient Line Cook to prepare and cook menu items to perfection. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Caribbean cuisine, excellent knife skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant Knowledge of Caribbean cuisine and ingredients Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food service environment Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Qualifications Experience with menu planning and development Knowledge of food allergies and dietary restrictions Bilingual or multilingual skillsPay:
