Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation Handle food with care, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times Set up workstations efficiently, ensuring all necessary tools and ingredients are ready for service Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, adhering to health regulations Support catering events or special functions by preparing meals and serving guests with professionalism Demonstrate excellent knife skills and food handling techniques to optimize efficiency and safety during meal preparation Requirements Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is highly desirable Knowledge of food industry standards including food safety protocols and proper food handling practices Experience with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and work efficiently under pressure A passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn and grow within the food industry Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills will be valued, your creativity encouraged, and your contributions celebrated.
