Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and lead a team of line cooks to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your expertise in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management will be vital in maintaining our reputation for dining excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about creating memorable meals and inspiring team collaboration. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the kitchen line, ensuring efficient workflow and timely meal service Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes, presentation standards, and customer preferences Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards Assist in menu planning by contributing ideas for seasonal offerings and special menus that align with culinary trends Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on knife skills, food preparation techniques, and overall culinary best practices Ensure proper inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure meal consistency across all service areas Qualifications Proven experience in dietary aide roles or dietary department settings is highly desirable Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on Mexican cuisine Strong background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, and food handling Demonstrated culinary experience with excellent knife skills and meal preparation expertise Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and catering procedures Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment Excellent communication skills with a passion for serving high-quality cuisine and delivering exceptional customer service
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
