Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Cook plays a key role in the execution of all culinary operations at Fortune Events. This position is responsible for the preparation, production, and setup of assigned menu items and stations, ensuring all food is executed with precision, consistency, and in alignment with company standards. The Cook is expected to maintain a high level of organization, cleanliness, and professionalism while supporting both kitchen and off-site event operations. This role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute food preparation and station setup according to provided menus and recipes Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workspaces at all times (on-site and off-site) Ensure all food meets Fortune Events quality and presentation standards Follow all sanitation and safety procedures in accordance with SNHD guidelines Communicate any issues, shortages, or inconsistencies to the Executive Chef or Kitchen Lead in a timely manner Assist with loading and unloading of equipment, including refrigerated trucks when required Support overall kitchen operations and contribute to a collaborative team environment
WORKING KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, station setup, and food execution Ability to follow recipes accurately, including metric measurements Knowledge of proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards Commitment to maintaining consistency and quality during all services
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and listening skills Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize Maintains composure, focus, and professionalism at all times Team-oriented with a positive and solution-focused mindset
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds Comfortable working in varying environments including indoor/outdoor settings, heat, cold, and wet conditions
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant kitchen experience preferred Valid work authorization in the United States Possession of or ability to obtain a valid SNHD Health Card Professional appearance and adherence to Fortune Events grooming standards Availability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
