Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and customer-oriented Cook & Cashier to join our team. In this vital dual role, you will be the heart of our takeout operation, combining culinary skills with fast, friendly customer service. You will be responsible for taking orders, preparing fresh Mediterranean dishes, and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Key Responsibilities- Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming, efficient ordering experience.
- Process customer orders accurately on our Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Package takeout orders securely
- Fry falafel, cut Shawarma and prepare food to order. Assemble sandwiches, bowls, and platters quickly, carefully adding fresh vegetables and signature sauces.
- Prepare basic kitchen prep items (e.g. dicing tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, breading chicken).
- Monitor food inventory, notify management of low stock, and rotate ingredients to maintain freshness.
- Maintain strict cleanliness at the front counter, point-of-sale area, and in the kitchen.
- Strictly follow proper food handling and storage guidelines.
Experience:
Previous experience as a short-order cook or in a fast-casual/quick-service restaurant environment. Must have excellent knife skills, quick at prep and have the ability to stand for extended periods, multitask during busy rushes, and lift up to 50 lbs.Pay:
