  • Full-time Job Overview Mediterranean kitchen hiring for a professional counter person/line cook.
Besides cooking and preparing sandwiches/bowls/platters your job also will be to take orders from the customers and enter the orders on a Clover POS. We are a bilingual Spanish & English speaking kitchen, but you must be able to speak fluent english to engage with customers. There is a lot of prep work involved, excellent knife skills are a requirement. if you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a friendly fast-paced setting, we would love to hear from you. This job is 6 days/week, off on Saturday, daytime hours, no late nights! Duties Prepare and cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistent quality and presentation Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation to maintain the highest standards of food safety Engage with customers at the counter, taking orders and providing friendly, efficient service Support menu planning by suggesting daily specials or accommodating dietary restrictions when possible Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts Follow all food industry safety protocols and proper knife skills for efficient meal preparation Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders Skills Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs Proven restaurant or kitchen experience with strong food preparation and cooking skills Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently while maintaining high quality standards Excellent knife skills and experience in food industry practices such as catering or fine dining environments Strong communication skills for serving customers and working collaboratively in a team setting Passion for culinary arts with a focus on food service excellence and attention to detail This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary expertise while delivering exceptional service.
