Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in restaurant or food service environments, demonstrating a passion for meal preparation and a commitment to high-quality food production. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and meet the dietary needs of our clients. Must have expierience in a diner setting cooking breakfast. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices. Assist in menu planning and development, considering seasonal ingredients and client preferences. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to the management. Participate in training sessions for new kitchen staff as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Experience as a Dietary Aide or within a Dietary Department is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
