Position Summary Silver Sands Hospitality is seeking motivated Line Cooks to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on service position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency, and is eager to grow within a collaborative restaurant group. About The Restaurants Eddie's Open-fire cooking at its core, centered around pristine raw fish, simple wood-grilled preparations, and Neapolitan pizza. High-volume, fast-paced, and built on bold flavors and coastal energy. Nookies (Daytime) Breakfast and lunch served in a nostalgic 1950s diner setting, where comfort meets craftsmanship. Small, quick-turn service with genuine hospitality and care in every dish. Nookies (Nighttime) An intimate, chef-driven concept featuring a tight 13-14 item seasonal menu with nightly additions. Thoughtful, highly detailed execution with small services and meaningful extra touches. The Boathouse A lively bar concept where the food exceeds expectations—comforting takes on bar classics rooted in seafood and precision. Fast-paced, casual, and consistently dialed-in. Key Responsibilities Execute assigned station during service with consistency and attention to detail Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and chef direction Maintain strong ticket awareness and service timing Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage standards Communicate clearly with culinary team during service Assist with family meal and cross-station support as needed Qualifications 1 year experience working a service station preferred (subject to flexibility) Proficient knife skills preferred Understanding of basic kitchen terminology and responsibilities Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment Strong sense of urgency and organization Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to learn and grow with the restaurant Willingness to take direction and learn from others. Originally opened in 1957, the property has been reimagined as a design-led, context-driven micro-resort that blends mid-century character with a quieter, more refined approach to hospitality. Spanning 45 acres, the property includes an 18-acre protected salt marsh and a 15-acre working oyster farm in Pipes Cove, making it one of the largest waterfront hotel properties on Long Island. Silver Sands is also one of only two all-electric, fossil-fuel-free hotels in the United States and has been recognized in Condé Nast Traveler's 2024 Readers' Choice Awards and the 2025 Hospitality Design Awards. The property offers twenty hotel rooms, eight Beach Shacks, two two-bedroom Bungalows, and two three- to four-bedroom Beach Houses, alongside three distinct dining experiences at Nookies, Eddie's, and The Boathouse. The Salt Marsh Wellness Sanctuary, set at the edge of the tidal marsh, operates as a fully private, reservation-only spa. The experience centers around a self-guided ritual of heat, cold, and stillness, complemented by treatments including massage, sculpting facials, yoga, breathwork, and sound immersions.
