The Cook - 1 is responsible for supporting the Food & Beverage department culinary team by preparing food before the cooking stage and preparing and cooking additionally menu items as directed. Duties include safe food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized work space under the direction of a Sous Chef or Lead Line Cook. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

EXPERIENCE

3 to 6 months experience in a commercial restaurant kitchen is required . Restaurant experience to include food preparation, e.g., preparing and cutting vegetables, soup making, salad preparation, and making sauces and gravies.

The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds to 50 pounds.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Work Permit which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes. Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed. In case of a positive result, the candidate is not eligible for employment with the Mohawk Gaming Enterprises. Employment will not begin until process is complete.
