About Ravenwood Ravenwood is a seasonal destination in Kerhonkson, NY — a restored 1850s dairy barn in the southern Catskills operating as a café, farm stand, and art and design showcase from May through mid-November. We're open Friday through Sunday, drawing a mix of Hudson Valley locals and visitors looking for something worth the drive. The space brings together food, agriculture, art, and craft under one roof — and the people who work here are a genuine part of what makes it worth coming to. We're building our 2026 team and have one Back of House opening for an applicant who knows their way around a working kitchen and take real pride in food that is made well. The Role This position sits at the center of our kitchen operation — equal parts prep cook, line support, and utility player. You'll work directly alongside our head chef to execute weekly menus built around fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local growers. During service, you're focused and efficient, helping push tickets, maintain standards, and keep the kitchen moving. Outside of service, you're contributing to prep, stock, cleanliness, and the kind of steady behind-the-scenes work that makes everything else possible. Key Responsibilities Execute food prep, portioning, and presentation to the chef's standards using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen throughout the full shift — opening to close Working kitchen service with line work, ticket management, and plating Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and monitoring ingredient levels Wash, sanitize kitchen stations and properly store all equipment and utensils Complete opening and closing kitchen checklists consistently alongside the team Off-site prep shifts available for the right candidate What We're Looking For Prior BOH kitchen experience (preferred — line cook, prep cook, or café kitchen background) Enthusiasm for Hudson Valley food, agriculture, and seasonal cooking Friday-Sunday availability throughout the season; holiday availability required Punctuality and reliability — essential for a small, interdependent team Ability to work efficiently under pressure and pivot without losing focus Comfortable on your feet for full shifts in a hot, fast-moving kitchen environment Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; physically capable of the full range of kitchen movement Safe handling of hot equipment, sharp tools, and food products Receptive to feedback and invested in doing the work well Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Kerhonkson location High school diploma or equivalent; must be authorized to work in the
US The Details Pay:
$20-24.00/hour via payroll, plus pooled tips (based on experience)Tips:
