Part-Time About Chubby Cattle:
Chubby Cattle began with "牛魔王" Hotpot, uniting guests through authentic Chinese flavors and premium ingredients. We then introduced Chubby Cattle BBQ, featuring an indulgent All-You-Can-Eat Wagyu menu with American, Australian, and Japanese A5 Wagyu. Since our first location in Monterey Park in 2023, we've expanded nationwide, with Rowland Heights as our flagship. Now, our SoHo location brings this extraordinary dining journey to New York, offering guests an experience unlike any other.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food service industry and a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary. Cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in menu planning and development of new dishes. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances. Help with catering events as needed, ensuring all food is prepared to specifications.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in the food industry or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
