Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Line Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to quality will shine! Your culinary skills will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, all while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Part time position with availability for 40 hours if interested in dish shifts. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation for catering events or large orders. Ensure all food is stored properly, rotating stock to minimize waste and maintain freshness. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within the food industry or restaurant environment. Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and efficiently. Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs. Understanding of food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met. Excellent food service skills with a focus on timely delivery of high-quality dishes. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
