Brunch Cook

Old Mates, an authentic Australian pub, is looking for a day time Line Cook to join our team and help execute our new all dining offering from 12pm onwards. The ideal candidate must be able to work from 9am to 4:30pm, 5 shifts a week. As a Line Cook at Old Mates, you will work directly under the guidance of our Head Chef. We are in need of strong team members to join our concept and help build and maintain the value and quality of the Old Mates vision. Your Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering to recipes and standards Assist with food prep tasks when needed Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency Plate dishes with attention to detail, monitoring portion control Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety guidelines Collaborate with Sous Chef to consistently deliver exceptional dishes

What We're Looking For:

This role is for a day time line cook. Must be available 9am-4pm 2-5 years of experience as a Line Cook in a full-service restaurant NYC restaurant experience preferred Food Handler's Certificate (required) Ability to lift up to 30 lbs without assistance Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to stand for long periods of times
