PM Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to support meal preparation in a busy Poughkeepsie location. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and wants a consistent part-time schedule with potential for long-term employment. This role will help cover staffing needs while team members are out, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.
Cook Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and guidelines Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures Assist with kitchen organization, cleaning, and food prep Ensure timely meal service and maintain quality standards Work collaboratively with team members to keep operations running smoothly Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in cooking, food preparation, or a kitchen environment preferred Ability to follow recipes, portioning, and food safety guidelines accurately Strong time management and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Reliable, punctual, and able to work scheduled evening and weekend shifts Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of food safety practices; certification is a plus Ability to accommodate basic dietary needs or special meal preparation is beneficial Willingness to learn and take direction in a team-oriented kitchen environment Why Join This Opportunity?
