Role:
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals that meet the standards of our establishment and satisfy our customers. Your primary focus will be on preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen team, including the Head Chef, to ensure smooth kitchen operations and consistent food quality. This role requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as moving objects and climbing stairs within the kitchen environment. Ultimately, your contribution will directly impact the dining experience and reputation of our establishment across the United States.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen setting. Ability to read and speak English to understand recipes, safety instructions, and communicate effectively. Manual dexterity and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Capability to follow directions from the Head Chef and work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal culinary training or certification from an accredited institution. Experience working under a Head Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during peak service hours. Knowledge of inventory management and kitchen equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards. Ensure all food preparation areas and equipment are clean, sanitized, and organized. Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, verifying quality and freshness. Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and timing. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage. Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management. Adapt to changing menu requirements and special dietary requests as needed. Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving kitchen equipment, and climbing stairs safely.
