Skilled Line Cook

Line Cook Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team at the Embassy Suites in Saratoga Springs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sauté and grill with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards and contribute to an exceptional dining experience for our guests. (Fast food only experience will not be considered) Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Work alongside our Sous and executive chef to guide our team to work as a cohesive team. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality. The ability to work independently and part of a team. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor food production processes and assist with catering events as needed. Manage shift operations, ensuring efficient workflow and communication among team members. Handle food inventory control, cleanliness standards of their station including ordering supplies and minimizing waste. Skills Proven experience in the culinary field, preferably in fine dining or banquet settings. Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and shift supervision. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry. Proficient in cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management. Experience with menu planning, catering, and restaurant management is highly desirable. Ability to handle inventory management effectively while ensuring quality standards are met. Excellent communication skills with a focus on a passion for food.

Full-time Pay starting at $20.00 per hour based upon experience and skill level Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week We are conveniently located on the CDTA bus line from both Schenectady; Glens Falls and surrounding towns.
