The Head Saute will oversee food preparation, ensure adherence to food safety standards, and inspire a team dedicated to culinary excellence. Responsibilities Lead the sauté station, ensuring all dishes are prepared with high quality, consistency, and presentation standards. Supervise and train kitchen staff, including dietary aides and culinary team members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Develop and execute menu planning strategies that align with dietary requirements and culinary trends. Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations. Coordinate meal preparation and cooking processes to meet service timelines while maintaining exceptional food quality. Manage inventory levels for ingredients specific to sautéed dishes, minimizing waste and controlling costs. Collaborate with the catering team for special events, ensuring all sautéed offerings meet client expectations and dietary needs. Experience Extensive dietary department experience with a strong background in food service environments. Proven culinary experience in fine dining settings or restaurant kitchens, demonstrating advanced knife skills and food preparation techniques. Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Prior supervisory or leadership experience within a kitchen or culinary team is highly desirable. Familiarity with the food industry standards for serving, cooking, and kitchen management.
